Randall Cole Appointed to MUSC Board of Visitors
Randall C. Cole has been appointed to the Medical University of South Carolina Board of Visitors. Members are nominated by the trustees of the university and serve as ambassadors in their respective regions. Cole was appointed by Dr. E. Conyers O’Bryan, Jr. Cole seves as chief executive officer of Circle Park Behavioral Health Services in Florence, S.C. Circle Park Behavioral Health Services provides a broad range of behavioral health services, with emphasis on educational and professional counseling programs related to alcohol, tobacco, and other drug abuse. Programs are based on the concept that addictions are preventable and treatable diseases. The programs deal not only with the symptoms of abuse and addiction, but also with their causes. Their overall effectiveness hinges on the successful integration and coordination of prevention, intervention, and treatment services. Cole earned a bachelor of arts degree from the University of South Carolina and a master of science in administration degree from Central Michigan University. Cole was appointed by Gov. Mark Sanford and still serves as a member of the Council of Advisors on Consumer Credit. He also received the Palmetto Patriot from Lt. Gov. André Bauer. Cole and his wife, Suzanne Bethea Cole, have a daughter, Layla Elizabeth, 2. Suzanne earned her master of science degree from MUSC in Rehabilitation Science – Speech Language Pathology in 2004
